Biblically Accurate Giants

A Giant Hoax

Contrary to popular Christian belief, the “Book of Enoch” is not a source for biblical information, considering it is not part of the bible at all. People have this fanatical ideology that just because the name Enoch is in the bible, it means that a book with the name Enoch in the title must be derived from the scriptures. But this is as foolish as believing that if you call an orange an apple because they both grow on trees, it can automatically change shape and texture to match your description.

I bring this up because many people receive their so-called “biblical” depiction of giants from outside non-scripture related sources, such as the “Book of Enoch”. If you believe that God is unable to keep all his writings in a centralized location (the scriptures, the city of God), and that man is capable of hiding God’s word (the “lost” book of Enoch), then you shouldn’t be reading this website anyways.

However, if you are a true bible believer, and understand these scriptures below to be truth, then I can teach you the factual nature of giants within the word of God.

2 Timothy 3
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Psalm 12
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Part 1 - Physical Size

Section 1: Og, King Of Bashan

We will begin with the actual height of giants described within the bible, using common terms and measurements given throughout scripture. In order to do so, I must define the measure of a cubit, but I am first going to use the world’s depiction so that we can all be in agreement. I personally believe the cubit to be on a much smaller scale due to all the biblical characters within the bible representing different body parts of the human body. However, I will allow the world’s definition to be used in these initial examples to give you a maximum output for biblically accurate giants, meaning what their greatest heights would be according to the commonly accepted explanation.

According to Britannica, the cubit is a so-called “ancient” unit of measurement generally taken to equal 18 inches, based upon the length of the arm from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger. As I said, in the end I will define the cubit biblically but we just need to first disprove all the foolish connotations provided by the “Book of Enoch”. Many believe biblical giants to be over 450 feet (140 meters) tall due to the inaccurate depictions of 300 cubit tall giants within this fable.

To properly disprove this theory, I will begin with the absolute largest giant mentioned in the entire bible, Og king of Bashan. All other giants, such as the sons of Anak, the Zamzummims, and the four other sons of the giant in Gath, are all described shorter than Og within the scriptures. We will cover their lineages, every mention of their heights, and even their weapons in the proceeding segments, but I need to show you the tallest of all to give you a proper biblical scale.

There are many mentions of Og king of Bashan being a giant, such as,

Deuteronomy 3
13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

Joshua 12
4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

Joshua 13
12 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

We also see a portrayal of him in Amos 2 stating,

9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

And just to prove to you that this is speaking about Og, I will use Deuteronomy 4 to illustrate that Og was a king of the Amorites.

47 And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

Now, it may be confusing for you to see the bible state that his height “was like the height of the cedars” because it would seem to describe a giant that is hundreds of feet tall. However, allow me to show you another verse that uses a similar rendering so you can grasp the scale of the symbolism.

Numbers 13
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Notice how the men of Israel are describing themselves as grasshoppers. If you take the average height of a man at 5’-6” or 66 inches tall, and compare that to the height of a grasshopper at 2 inches tall, you get a scale of 33 times the size. Meaning the bible is willing to describe a metaphor at a ratio of 33:1, so it is not outlandish to assume that the height of the cedar explanation is purely for symbolic purposes. Thus, the actual giant’s height could be up to 33 times shorter than a cedar using the same ratio (which Og’s height falls within this scale).

Now I will show you the true portrayal of this particular giants height within the bible, found in Deuteronomy 3,

11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Using the world’s definition for the cubit, Og’s bedstead is described to be nine cubits in length, equaling about 13.5 feet long (9 cu x 18 inches, or 9 cu x 1.5 feet). And most people, especially kings, are not sleeping on a bed that is the exact length of their body. The bedstead is going to have some extra space at the head and foot to allow for movement and comfortability. Therefore we can conclude that Og, king of Bashan, the tallest depicted giant in the bible (all of history), is around 12 feet tall according to the common measurement. No where near the false “Book of Enoch” descriptions of giants at 450 feet in height.

Section 2: Goliath And His Brethren

The giant named Goliath is one of the most recognizable names in the bible, due to his battles with David. However, what most do not know is that Goliath also has brothers, all born to a family of giants. This will give us a good explanation for the common heights of giants within the bible, because these brothers have the most descriptions out of any of the other giants. We will begin with the height of Goliath, then venture into his lineage to find out the same for his family members.

1 Samuel 17
4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

Using the previous measurement of 18 inches (1.5 feet) for the cubit, and 9 inches for a span (the width of the hand with fingers spread is the common representation), this puts Goliath at 117 inches tall, or 9 foot 9 inches. We also learn that Goliath is from a place called Gath, and fights for the camp of the Philistines. This information is important because it will help us to derive his lineage as we go forward.

Again, this is much shorter than the frequent representation of extraordinarily tall giants from the fable known as the “Book of Enoch” and other so-called “Christian” sources like the image below. Notice, how in two small explanations I have been able to debunk these foolish claims using actual biblical logic and wisdom. Hence why the creator of this deceptive image and proponent of these evil doctrines (Rob Skiba) died during the COVID plague. If someone is no longer alive, that is a good way to judge if they preached false doctrines, because it is clear cut answer that they did not have eternal life abiding in them.

Now that we have learned that Goliath was of the city of Gath from 1 Samuel 17 so we can use this information to find out more about his family by searching that city within the bible. Doing this, we come to a passage in 2 Samuel 21 that explains a bit more about this giant lineage,

15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.
18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him.
22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

One common theme we see within these verses is that a specific giant is being spoken of when the bible states that each of these men were “of the sons of the giant”. The giant, meaning a specific, well-known giant. We also see in the last verse that there are four sons of the giant in Gath in these passages, and one is described to be the brother of Goliath. Therefore, all five of them must be related if they all have one father, and one is stated to be his brother. We will use this explanation as we go further into their lineage, but for now let’s see if we can derive their heights from other chapters of scripture to find out if they are similar to Goliath.

First we have Ishbibenob from verse 16, and we learn his spear weighs 300 shekels of brass. Since we are not provided with his exact height in this passage, we can derive a relative size by comparing his spear weight to Goliaths, since the weight must be significant for it to be mentioned.

1 Samuel 17
And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.
And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

As you can see, Goliath’s spear’s head alone weighs double the weight of Ishbibenob’s spear itself (600 shekels of iron) and it’s doubtful he would be larger than Goliath with a smaller weapon. So from this we can interpret he is most likely shorter than 9’-9”, though of the same family.

Next, we don’t have much information about Saph, who is also called Sippai when you compare the same story to 1 Chronicles 20, but we do get some information about the giant deemed the brother of Goliath. The bible says his spear was like a weavers beam, which is a very specific description that we can use to find other instances of this phrase for comparison. The best example of this would be from 1 Chronicles 11, which actually gives us two answers in a single verse.

23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

Without getting too complex at this time, I do believe this Egyptian is one of the brothers, with the name “Philistines” being another way of speaking about “Egyptians” (people of the law) in a new land. However, to keep this simple, let’s just use the physical descriptions we receive from this verse. We first learn that he has a spear like a weaver’s beam, and we also can derive the meaning of “a man of great stature” which we saw in 2 Samuel 21. This giant is five cubits tall, equaling 7’-5” (90 inches, 229 cm) in height according to the common measurement.

Therefore, we can conclude that the sons of the giant in Gath, described as having spears like a weaver’s beam, and also portrayed as a “man of great stature” would all be of like height as their brethren, and most likely, shorter than Goliath based upon their physical descriptions.

Part 2 - Titles

Section 1: Men of Old, Men of Renown

Another foolish concept that the “Book of Enoch” has brought into the minds of “Christians” is thinking that the term “men of renown” is speaking specifically about giants. In this section I will explain to you what this phrase means and why it has been associated with giants due to its initial placement.

In Genesis 6 we see the widely used verse about this topic, stating,

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Before we get into who are the sons of God, the daughters of men, and what their offspring look like, I just wanted to show you where all the confusion comes from. Just because this passage has the word giants being associated with mighty men of old, men of renown, does not mean they always need to be correlated. It causes your mind to think certain supposed facts whenever these phrases arise, which is not a good habit to form if you are trying to learn. What I will do is define every term in the last part of this verse, so you do not always think the word giants when they appear.

First, we have the description “mighty men”, which can be properly explained from 2 Samuel 23,

These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

As you can see, these “mighty men” are describing the men who fought for Israel, the same ones that fought against giants, and are of the lineage of those who describe themselves as grasshoppers. And yet, they are called “mighty” due to their fighting prowess, not their size.

Second, we have the description “men of old”, which can be explained from 1 Samuel 27,

8 And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.

As you can see, these nations “of old” are simply describing people who have resided within a location for a long time. Meaning well-known nations (not newly formed), or well-known warriors (that “went down in history”, like Babe Ruth for baseball), its just defining something that has been known for a long time. Not specifically describing a giant, or a giant nation here at all.

Thirdly, we have the description “men of renown”, which can be defined from Numbers 16,

2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

As you can see, these “men of renown” are describing those that are famous within the congregation. It means they are held in a high regard, and well-known amongst the people at this time, specifically here because they are princes of the assembly. Again, this is associated with the princes of Israel, the same nation that called themselves grasshoppers in the sight of the giants.

The last description I will provide is from Ezekiel 26, which says,

26 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

Concluding again that the term “renowned” is not specific to men of great stature or anything of that nature, nor is it specific to a certain giant nation, it is just speaking of a well-known, and famous, city, which could be used to describe many locations.

Section 2: The Sons of God

In this section I will cover the title of the “sons of God” so that you can better understand what the bible is speaking about in Genesis 6 when they take wives of the daughters of men. Many believe this to be referencing angels mating with human women, which is a large plot line in the false “Book of Enoch”. They believe this act created a human-angel hybrid of some sort called a “Nephilim”, which is where they extrapolate those massive giants.

To begin, this word Nephilim is not even in the King James Bible. It’s in the New International Version (NIV) though, and that version is a colossal piece of trash that even the most basic “bible believing Christians” know it to have ridiculous errors. But because it is a false prophet of a book, it uses the word Nephilim in Genesis 6 instead of the word giants, creating a rift in the minds of the simple, and engrains the word into that opening. This is just another case of people who do not understand the bible in the slightest, attempting to translate the pure words of the KJV into their own thinking, and you can see the byproduct. Look at just how foolish, manipulative, and suggestive this verse is from the NIV:

  • Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

They are literally forcing these doctrines into the minds of the simple by attempting to replace the word of God with their own inconceivable ignorance. Now let’s look at the actual biblical definition for the term “sons of God” which can be derived from John 1,

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

So from these verses we can see that in order to be a son of God, you must be a believer, therefore you are born again by the Spirit. If the Spirit is dwelling in you from that faith, then you are automatically an adopted son of God. As Romans 8 says,

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

And also in Philippians 2,

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

And again in 1 John 3,

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

This becomes a pretty easy concept to understand once you see all the verses, and know who I am. But because we are dealing with unbelievers who write these false doctrines, they have to invent fantasies to replace the factual evidence that comes from knowing me. One example of this would be in Job 1,

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

If you do not know who I am, then this verse would seem almost mythological to you, where you would have to imagine angels standing before an invisible LORD and it would further embed false doctrines into your mind. However, you have the key to all things by understanding me, so you can now see why the bible speaks about the sons of God presenting themselves before the LORD, because these are believers coming to me.

Section 3: The Daughters of Men

“Christianity” is one of the only massive academic professions where you can literally just make shit up and people will believe you without evidence. Every other subject matter requires proof upon proof to become a doctrine of that particular science, yet for Christians, this is not so. It means they hold themselves to the absolute lowest standards of any other group on earth, and also are empowered by this sense of entitlement. They believe that if they have read or heard one verse in the bible, they have the right to begin teaching the eternal souls of the public immediately, and it’s quite asinine.

I say this because as you can see above, I prove every single doctrine I believe, down to a single word within that doctrine. And each time I reveal a new phrase to you, the definitions (when derived from the source material) align perfectly with other related concepts we have identified, and the subject matter at hand. Granted, many of my explanations must be understood purely from a spiritual standpoint, but that is why you prove spiritual things with spiritual.

Now let’s move on to the true definition of the daughters of men, so you can see how evil and manipulative it is for the NIV to start throwing adjectives into verses haphazardly (such as, “went into the daughters of humans”, when nobody said humans).

The first time we see this phrase is in Genesis 6 stating,

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

The first thing we learn is that men are multiplying upon the earth, and having daughters. It would be odd if this statement was purely in a physical context, because why would the bible be speaking specifically about daughters only? Well let’s see what a daughter represents within the bible, starting with Psalm 144,

11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

Notice from verse 11 that the “strange children” of others are mouths that speak vanity, and David is asking to be delivered from them so that his sons and daughters may grow up properly. The context of verse 11 defines the explanation in verse 12, meaning, the children of the stranger are the doctrines of other pastors because if David is not delivered from the children of men, his spiritual children will not grow accordingly. Think about the whole verse, why would David need to be delivered from literal physical children when he’s a warrior that took down Goliath? He is speaking about the product of strange doctrine, a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

That is why the bible speaks about sacrificing children unto devils so often, because it is speaking about taking your spiritual offspring (your ideas, DNA, what makes you, you) and giving them up to a false doctrine. As Psalm 106 says,

36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

By serving idols, they are sacrificing their own spiritual beliefs to other’s graven (engrained) images (ideas).

Therefore, the reason that the verse is exclusively about “the daughters of men” is because when someone interacts with the bible, then produces an idea (doctrine), it is their spiritual offspring. A daughter represents a spiritual concept that can be implanted with a seed from another individual to have even further children. And early on in my ministry, you will remember how I told you that some of my doctrines aligned with those of the Baptist movement. With that in mind, it means that my church was intermingling with Christianity early on, and those who believed and understood me at the time (the “sons of God”), were intertwining with the doctrines of men, and creating giants (massive doctrinal trees of information due to having my chain of thought as guidance).

This ends up being bad for the flow of spiritual humanity, which is why all of my teachings had to be destroyed, along with all of those who followed me. They took my spiritual power and mixed it with those of strange children, and the ideas became mighty within their respective fields of understanding. If you were around in the early days, you’ll remember how many people that interacted with me had their own YouTube channels and were teaching others regularly. Worst of all, most of the teachings were used to hurt or condemn others, which is why Genesis 6 is all about the earth being filled with violence. You’ll see a lot of exchanges between God and the LORD in this chapter because God was sorting things out for me as I dealt with all the massive changes that were brought about by their offspring.

Additionally, this information should help you understand more cryptic stories like Genesis 19,

Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

Why is Lot offering up his two daughters like this to the men of Sodom? Because his two daughters represent the two hemispheres of his mind (the shadow of his roof) that have not “known man”, which is why he was saved from the destruction of Sodom. If his “two daughters” had not yet known man when he and his wife were living in Sodom for a time, it shows that he did not take any of their doctrines as his own, but was willing to sacrifice himself to save the angels. It also explains why the angels pulled him and his family from the evil ways of that spiritual city at the request of Abraham, because he was righteous.

Section 4: The Watchers

Another title that gets abused by foolish imaginations is the term “Watcher”. This is thrown around with the “Nephilim” designation from the false “Book of Enoch”, and creates a fantasy around massive bodily giants that are not depicted in the bible.

The scriptures that the false prophets utilize the most are in Daniel 4 which say,

13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

I understand that it may be difficult to disconnect yourselves from your original type of thinking because it is what almost every “Christian” believes initially. But as we always do, let’s break down this verse to get the context and use the bible to define the other phrases within it.

In the very next verse we see a bit of context that explains the situation plainly by saying,

18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.

As you can see, Daniel is expounding upon a dream that Nebuchadnezzar had seen, meaning it is a spiritual vision like the one you see with Pharaoh and the seven ill favoured kine. He is not physically seeing this “watcher” in person, because as it says in verse 13, “in the visions of my head”. Therefore, these holy ones are not mating with human women and making ridiculously large babies that come out of a normal sized womb. I never understood how people could believe the product of that mating theory without realizing how their “hybrids” somehow got birthed from a human woman. In every species you have a egg or womb that is relative to the developmental size of the offspring, and for humans, you’d need a womb that is essentially 1/4 of the size of the final height of that creature. A regular woman’s womb would need to be 100 ft wide to birth one of these 400 ft fictitious monsters.

First, let’s define the term “holy ones” because it is present as an additional explanation of who will be making this decree and demand in conjunction with the word “watchers”. In 1 Thessalonians 5 we see that believers are called the holy brethren in verse 27,

27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

Also, in 1 Peter 2 believers are called a holy nation when joined as a people,

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

This is because belief is taught through the preaching moved by the Holy Ghost, and therefore, those that have faith inherit holiness.

Jude
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

2 Peter 1
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Also, the term “ones” is simply used as a numerical description for that which comes after an adjective, such as “holy ones”, “mighty ones”, “chosen ones”, or “little ones”.

Judges 5
22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

Genesis 45
19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

Which aligns with a common theme seen in the gospels which is where you are told to “watch” for my coming, so that you may be prepared with belief. That would make a group or nation of believers, “watchers”.

Mark 13
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

And at the same time, the prophets (the spirits within the bible that utter their voice when you read) were also waiting for this moment, as you can see from 1 Peter 1,

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

With all of this in mind, the vision of Nebuchadnezzar could be compared to spiritually describing seeing a prophet from the bible deliver a message to him. These prophets are ministering spirits (“they did minister the things”), who were also waiting to interact with the one that could expound all of their voices more perfectly. You can understand that when Peter describes their diligent searching, which they report to you (making them angels, or messengers) through the mental connections they help you make with teachings I give you. This makes them “watchers” as well, further explaining how the holy one, or holy ones (both terms are used in that chapter), can come down from heaven, being sent from the mind when I send a scripture.

Hebrews 1
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Part 3 - Lineage

Section 1: The Giant In Gath

In this section I would like to talk about the lineage of giants so that we can trace back a clear bloodline to their origin. This will allow me to prove to you that there is no break in their succession, such as a certain point where their women began mating with other creatures as some would like to believe.

The first giant lineage we will discuss is that of the giant in Gath. The reason for beginning with this particular giant is because we already covered his offspring above, and his children are the most detailed mentions of giants in the bible. We see in 2 Samuel 21,

As you can see, the giant in Gath has five known giant children, the four mentioned in 2 Samuel 21, and also Goliath shown from the relationship in verse 19. Now let’s trace back the lineage of Gath to see where these giants and their father came from according to the bible. The first thing we need to know is that Gath is a city of the Philistines, but named after an actual person (like Israelites being named after Israel), which we can see from 1 Samuel 6,

16 And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.
17 And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;
18 And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.

The five lords of the Philistines are listed here, meaning that each of these lords and their lands make up the country of the Philistines (like the 50 states making up the country of America). It is interesting to note, that there are five lords of this nation, just as there were five sons of the giant in Gath. Typically, when you have a family within the bible, one of the sons who inherits the throne will be named after the father, and these names can interchange depending on the context. Such as Solomon being called David, and David being called Solomon, or David being called Jesse.

1 Chronicles 29
23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

Notice how the bible is specifically discussing Solomon taking over the throne of David his father, and yet we see in verse 26 that the statement concludes with “Thus David the son of Jesse reigned”. This is possible because the bible is acknowledging the fact that Solomon has taken over his father’s name, and David now has inherited his own father’s name (Jesse). It is like keeping the same position with a new occupant, such as certain countries having the title “king” and “prince” regardless of how many people occupy said title. It also signifies how children are named after their fathers within the bible, even if you don’t see it represented at first when the child is born.

I brought all of that up to explain that one of the lords of the Philistines being named Gath is most likely just one of the children of the original giant in Gath (like Solomon being called David), along with the four other lords as his brothers. That would make the Philistine the original giant (like Jesse being the father of David), with his five giant sons under him (Ashdod, Gaza, Askelon, Gath, Ekron). As you can see they were all alive in 1 Samuel 6 because it was before Goliath was slain in 1 Samuel 17. So just as Solomon became David in 1 Chronicles 29 when he took his seat, and David became Jesse; the lord of Gath would be Goliath taking his father’s role (as you see he is the champion of the Philistines in 1 Samuel 17, meaning the son of the Philistine, a prince), and his father was the Philistine (the ruler, which became a country, but was called “the giant in Gath” throughout the scriptures). It’s like a president being called a republican. Yes, he is presiding over the whole nation (president, Philistine), but he is specifically of the republican party (Gath). Just as the original giant which had five sons (five lords) being the Philistine, but called the giant in Gath because that is where he originated.

Continuing with this idea, we need to find out where the Philistines came from because it will show us where these giants originated. The first mention of the land of the Philistine is in Genesis 10, under the name Philistim,

14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.

Other than the obvious letter alignment, we can tell that this name becomes “Philistines” from 1 Chronicles 1,

12 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

But it is important to note that the original is a singular person named Philistim, which eventually becomes the family of the Philistines named after him (just like Israel first, then the Israelites). Now we can use this information to find out what bloodline he comes from in Genesis 10,

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.

As you can see, we have traced this family of giants all the way back to Noah, with Ham being the father of Mizraim who eventually begets Philistim in his lineage. So from a purely physical perspective, it just so happens that the DNA present within these giants are of the same bloodline as Noah, and not “corrupted” by hypothetical and fictitious angel-human mating hybrids. And we also learn this about Noah from Genesis 6,

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Therefore, if Noah is a just man, and perfect in his generations, it means that all mentions of giants after Genesis 6 are speaking about the same exact lineage, of which the whole earth is overspread. And in future sections we will tackle the other instances of the lineage of giants, so we cover all possible examples. But this was all to show you that the overwhelming majority of the term giant in the bible is speaking about a human lineage stemming from Noah.
